Scott Padgett is an Emmy-nominated American meteorologist currently working as Chief Meteorologist at CBS 11. He also joined the KTVT news team in September 2013.
Padgett developed his interest in weather when he was very young when he would sit with his father and watch storms roll through his neighborhood. This inspired him to pursue meteorology in Western Illinois University and graduated with an additional minor in broadcasting and mathematics.
Scott is a member of it American Meteorological Society and the National Meteorological Association. He has predicted many different climates and dealt with desert heat, tornadoes, hurricanes and ice storms.
Padgett has been awarded the Seal of approval from American Meteorological Societyy in 2006. With more than twenty-two years of forecasting experience, he has been nominated for Emmy Awards.
