Jordan Steele is an American meteorologist currently serving as an on-air meteorologist for The Weather Channel (TWC) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Before TWC, Steele worked as a meteorologist now as a host on Quibi. He also spent about three years working as an evening meteorologist for KING 5 Media Group based in Seattle, Washington. Steele also spent time appearing as a lifestyle anchor and weather anchor for an Austin-based television station known as KEYE TV before moving to Washington, D.C.
Steele was born and raised in the US suburbs. He grew up as a very intelligent and active child who enjoyed doing science projects and math. After high school, Steele joined Northern Arizona University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Film. He then received his Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2011. Jordan began his career as a meteorologist working as a morning weather reporter for KEPR News in Pasco, WA.
His primary duties at KEPR News included providing accurate live forecasts while also assisting with weather duties for KEPR’s local radio station. Jordan left KEPR and moved to Oregon in 2010. He joined KMTR News as a weekday morning meteorologist and special reporter for the Eugene-based NBC affiliate. In 2012, Jordan left KMTR News and joined KEYE News in Texas as a Lifestyle Host and Weather Anchor.
He spent four years preparing and presenting highly accurate and precise forecasts for Central Texas and surrounding cities for nearly four years until hsi’s departure in 2017. Jordan joined KING 5 News in Washington in late March 2017 until his departure in 2020 .there, he was able to work as a full-time metrologist for Quibi until March 2020. Jordan has been working as a weather anchor for the Weather Channel since March 2020.
