Jonathan Scott is a Canadian television personality on the HGTV series The Property Brothers and the co-founder and CEO of Scott Brothers Entertainment. The company creates TV movies and digital content such as comedy videos like Funny or Die for North American and international broadcasters. Scott is also an illusionist, contractor and film producer. However, he is also a construction contractor, illusionist and TV/film producer. In addition, he is also famous for being the twin brother of Drew Scott.
In terms of his educational background, Scott completed his schooling at Thomas Haney Secondary School with his twin. The reality personality later attended the University of Calgary to pursue Business Administration. Jonathan also enrolled at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the Institute of Professional Home Builders majoring in construction and design.
As an illusionist, Jonathan studied magic performances from childhood and college until his career in television began. Scott has also done illusions professionally, eventually moving to Las Vegas. He joined the Vancouver Magic Circle and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Over the course of the decade, Scott won many awards including Pacific Coast Association of Magicians 3rd Best Stage Performer at age 16. Scott studied volumes of the Tarbell Course in Magic and sought out professional illusionists such as David Wilson and Shawn Farquhar who became his mentors and friends
Scott moved to Vancouver and began building large-scale illusions with the dream of doing a touring theater show at the age of 19. In 2002, the twins and their older brother co-founded an independent film production company, Dividian Production Group.
Scott is also the host of the programme’s spin-offs including Buy and Selling, Brother vs Brother and Forever Homes. He works with his twin brother and they have written a home improvement book (a memoir) and a children’s book about construction. In 2022 Silver Scott and his brothers launched a magazine related to their brand called Reveal.

Jonathan has won numerous awards for his magic/illusion work and has appeared on television and live on the Las Vegas stage. He is also a former 2nd Degree Black Belt Karate National Champion.
