Terrell Brown is an American news anchor currently working for ABC 7 Eyewitness News since April 2014. He anchors the station’s news from 4:30 to 7:30 am. as well as the daily newscasts at 11 a.m. on WLS-TV in Chicago. In his career, Terrell was recognized with an Emmy Award for “Outstanding News Anchor” at the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
Brown attended Matoaca High School in Chesterfield County. During his high school years, he founded the school’s television production, which has been active ever since. He then joined Commonwealth University in Richmond and graduated with honors in 2009. Brown later received a full-time scholarship from the National Press Club for Excellence in Broadcasting.

At the station, he anchored Up to the Minute, the CBS Morning News, and served as a supplemental anchor for weekend editions of the CBS Evening News. On the other hand, he covered some of the nation’s biggest stories, including the Boston Marathon bombing and the BP Gulf oil spill as a correspondent.
Brown broadcast live from the White House lawn and the United States Capitol during health care reform and the upcoming government holiday. He also worked at CBS News between 2009 and 2014. From 2005, Brown worked for WWBT-TV, the NBC station in Richmond, Virginia, as an anchor/reporter until 2009.
He has attended graduation ceremonies for the Chicago Police and Fire Departments. He has also partnered with dozens of local organizations to provide help and relief to at-risk youth on Chicago’s South Side.
A few months after joining ABC 7, Terrell showed his courage after volunteering to ride with the US Navy Blue Angels at the Air & Water Show.
