Biography of Tatiana Suarez
Tatiana Yadira Suarez Padilla is an American professional mixed martial artist who is a two-time world championship bronze medalist. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In 2023, Yadira won her last fight against Montana De La Rosa at UFC Vegas 70 via submission. She was also ranked in the UFC’s top 10 women’s strawweight rankings.
Suarez was born and raised in Covina, California of Mexican descent. He attended school at Northview High School where he graduated before attending Lindenwood University. A year later she left the University to focus on her career. Tatiana started wrestling at the age of four as her older brother wrestled. In 2011 she was the No. 1 wrestler in the United States at 55 kg.
In the following years, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer while training for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Due to her illness, she had to stop training to undergo radiation therapy. After her recovery, Yadira joined the jiu-jitsu training center that transformed her into a mixed martial artist. He made the limelight in 2014 when he won the fight by unanimous decision.
