How Connor Sturgeon opened fire at Louisville Bank

Connor Sturgeon, a 25-year-old bank worker from Louisville, Ky., knew of his impending layoff and wrote a note to loved ones before heading to work Monday morning, where he sparked a shooting that left five dead and eight injuries, according to a law enforcement source.

Sturgeon had been employed at the bank for over a year, as the same source said. He live-streamed his assault on Instagram, but the video has since been taken down. Authorities identified the five victims, ages 40 to 64, as Joshua Barrick, Juliana Farmer, Tommy Elliott, Deana Eckert and James Tutt.
