Prince Harry has warned he could face relegation from the balcony of Buckingham Palace if he attends the coronation
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been warned they could be relegated from the balcony of Buckingham Palace if they attend the historic coronation event. King Charles III has invited his youngest son to the historic event, but it’s claimed the monarch won’t agree to any requests from the Duke of Sussex that could steal the thunder from his big day.
Royal commentators have suggested that if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend the coronation they are unlikely to play a significant role besides being onlookers. Some speculate the couple could be booed if they attend, while others believe they could make a positive impact at the ceremony.
As the Sussexes are no longer senior members of the Royal Family, they are not expected to take part in royal processions on the day King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are crowned side by side at Westminster Abbey. Also, reports suggest they will not be invited to the balcony at Buckingham Palace alongside the King, Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales and other full-time working royals.
