Heather Van Norman is an American head coach and former track runner who is famous as the mother of Odell Beckham Jr who is a famous NFL player currently playing for the New York Giants. Odelle has often teased his mother and said he owes his career successes to his supportive mom.
Back in Heather, she attended Louisiana State University where she met Odell Beckman Sr. during one of his games at LSU. He then played as a running back (from 1989-1992). Heather’s coaching career began at Rice, where after two years she moved to become an assistant coach. Fortunately, in 2002, she was named head coach at Tulane University and spent the next seven years producing student-athletes.
He has coached an All-American in Gloria Asumnu, along with 144 all-conference nominations. They ended up winning 14 US individual titles in various events thanks to Van Norman. In addition, her teams also competed well in the classroom, as 70 of her individual team members made the C-USA Academic Honor Roll.
