Danielle Wiggins Biography
Danielle Wiggins is an American journalist who works as a morning anchor and reporter for the Live on Lakeside news segment at WKYC. She joined the station in October 2015 as a rising co-creator and host in Cleveland, Ohio. He held that role until June 2017. Previously, he served as executive producer at Vision Ideal Media in Ohio from 2006 to 2015.
Wiggins is also a cross-platform anchor for the I am going! morning show and anchors the half hour at 4:30 a.m. It also reports traffic and trending news. He also contributed to corporate reporting for different news outlets and hosted digital content on the station’s multiple online platforms. Wiggins also served as host, co-creator and producer of WKYC’s ‘rising’ initiative.
Speaking of her achievements, she was awarded a regional Emmy Award and a Salute to Excellence Award from the National Association of Black Journalists. It was awarded because of the episode “Rising” which told the story of a teenage girl who was born with cerebral palsy but still pursued her dream of playing basketball.
Danielle has served as lead producer and correspondent for the “The Regina Brent Show” on WKSU 89.7. Under her leadership, that show won several state and national awards, including the Ohio Excellence in Journalism Award for Best Radio Show. She later began her career as a paid intern for NPR’s eponymous afternoon show “All things are considered”. Danielle is currently a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Later, he joined University of Kent where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism.
