Charles Ingram was born in Shardlow, Derbyshire, on August 6, 1963. Charles’s father is John Ingram, retired RAF wing commander and his mother is Susan, stage designer. When Charles was young, his parents placed divorce papers and he had to spend most of his schooling years at a boarding school, Oswestry School. After graduation, Ingram was admitted and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kingston.
Charles also obtained his master’s degree in business administration from Cranfield University in August 2000. After finishing his studies, Charles decided to follow his father’s path and to undergo training in the British army at Sandhurst in 1986. Because of his diploma, he was assigned to Royal Engineers as an officer and seconded to Germany. Ingram also wrote two novels after leaving the military.
