Brendan Allen Biography
Brendan Allen is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is also the winner of the middleweight bout against Andre Muniz on February 25, 2023. Previously, Allen took part in the Legacy Fighting Alliance Championship where he was crowned Middleweight Champion. Prior to that, he had also appeared among the 13 UFC middleweights.
He completed High School in Mississippi where he participated in several training sessions in boxing and wrestling. After high school, he enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University where he studied criminal justice. Later, he joined Clementi’s Gladiator Academy to train in mixed martial arts. While there he won the IMMAF Amateur Middleweight Championship 2015. After training, he began his career where he fought for various promotions before competing in the Legacy Fighting Alliance Middleweight Championship.
In 2019, he fought against Aaron Jeffery and won the match in the first round. For his work, he got a contract with the UFC. That same year, he fought against Kevin Holland and won the match via submission in the second round. Before that, Allen was backed to fight Eric Spicely, but for unknown reasons, he didn’t. Later, he won the fight against Tom Breese at UFC Fight Night: Benavidez vs. Figueiredo. Besides that, he also fought against Kyle Daukaus after replacing Ian Heinisch in June 2020.

Brandan then faced Sean Strickland at UFC Fight Night: Felder vs. dos Anjos and was defeated by him. After this loss, he fought against Karl Roberson and won the match via ankle hook submission at the end of the first round. In 2021, he replaced Anthony Hernandez and faced Punahele Soriano at UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw. He emerged as the match winner before losing to Chris Curtis. The following year, Allen faced Jacob Malkun and won the fight at UFC 275. In addition, Allen also won the fight against Christoph Jotko, where he earned a bonus night. He is currently scheduled to face Bruno Silva on June 24, 2023, at UFC on ABC 5.
