Alice Eve discusses why she has ‘no aversion’ to stripping off for roles

‘If you have flesh then it should be shown’: Alice Eve admits she has ‘no aversion’ to stripping for roles as it ‘is part of the job’

She is known to many as Charlotte’s braless nanny in Sx And The City’s second move.

And Alice Eve has explained why she has no problem stripping down for roles because it’s “part of the job” of an actor.

The actress, 38, spoke candidly with The Sun about why she has “no aversion” to showing “the flesh” and why she hopes her latest project – Belgravia – was a good form of escape for the public right now.

The ITV drama, which was set in Victorian London, ended last weekend with five million viewers tuning in to the finale.

Alice played Susan in the period drama which shocked audiences after having an affair with a married man and becoming pregnant.

Although she wore a very tight corset and big dresses for Belgravia, she told the publication, “I have no aversion to flesh or showing it. I think if you have flesh it should be shown.

“Besides, you limit yourself if you’re against all this because it’s really part of the job. But it can be a little weird sometimes.

The screen star said she’s usually cast in roles that objectify women while being shown through a man’s lens, which isn’t how she feels about herself .

However, she shared, “As an actor, you can’t be attached to your physique.”

The star said she hopes fans enjoy the escape the drama offers because that’s what we need in the world right now.

The talented actress moved to the United States in 2010, when she landed the role of Irish nanny Erin in Sx and The City 2.

Since then, she’s been seen in a host of high-profile movies, including Men In Black 3 and Star Trek: Into Darkness.

In 2014 Alice married financier Alex Cowper-Smith, her high school sweetheart whom she met while attending Westminster School in London – but they later split after just three years of marriage.

The couple met at school but didn’t come together as a couple until 2014, before finally getting married in a small ceremony on New Year’s Eve in 2014.

They finalized the divorce last year, after which the blonde beauty admitted she felt like she was having a ‘rebirth’.

Alice was previously in a long-term relationship with poet Adam O’Riordan, whom she met while reading English at Oxford University.
