Rick Leventhal is an American journalist and author who rose to fame working as a co-anchor for FOX News from 1997 to 2021. He recently left FOX News to host his Patreon show The Rick & Kelly Show with his wife Kelly Dodd. Kelly and Rick also host their other show called The Daily Smash. Prior to Fox News, Rick spent over a decade reporting for various media stations in Chicago, New York, Columbia and South Carolina among other states.
The former FOX News co-anchor was born and raised in Christian County, Kentucky with both parents present. Rick grew up as an introverted kid who spent most of his free time waiting for the regular cable news to watch various reporters break the news. Hence, enhancing his passion for broadcasting.
Rick attended Montgomery Blair High School and graduated with honors. He then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the American University School of Communication. After college, Rick began working as a news anchor and reporter for WFLD TV based in Chicago.
