Bond shared his views with the outlet, saying: “I always thought the late Queen and the palace were quite harsh when they set that red line of 'you can't be half in, half in out.'” She continued: “In a modern, evolving monarchy, there might have been a way to incorporate what they wanted, which was, as we thought, some privacy and not always being exposed .”
“The challenge with their royal role was that they wanted to be financially independent, which involved business ventures and potential conflicts of interest,” Bond explained. “However, I think the Palace was a little quick to say 'absolutely not'.”
