Matt Wintz is an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist and currently works for WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio as a meteorologist Monday through Thursday at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Wintz was born and raised in Jefferson, in the middle of Snowbelt in Northeast Ohio, Ashtabula County. In 2006 he received the Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Ohio State University. He also holds a degree in geography from Birmingham Southern College. When he was three years old, Matt became interested in the weather. He spent most of his time watching the Weather Channel while the other children watched cartoons and claims to have watched the radar and satellites.
