Gasia Mikaelian is an American journalist who currently works as a lead anchor at KTVU in the Bay Area, California, anchoring the Channel 2 news program at 7 p.m. most nights of the week. She joined the station in 2005 and prior to that, worked as a news anchor and reporter at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas.
After graduating from high school, she joined Las Positas College where she took writing classes for two years. Mikaelian then attended San Diego State University with the goal of becoming a radio broadcaster.
After graduation, she began her career at KWST in Yuma, Arizona. Mikaelian worked for a year as a reporter since joining the station in 1999. Before joining KWST, she took a job at WAFF where she covered everything from local news to sports. After a two-year stint at WAFF, he headed to San Diego, where he joined XETV.
At last, her dream came true, longing to be close to her family. She currently works as a news anchor at KTVU and is a Livemoregirl at heart. She enjoys supporting the community and is an active member of the community.
