From 2013 to 2015 Campbell played for Minnesota after playing collegiately for Hutchinson Community College. De'Vondre recorded one forced fumble, 39 total tackles and three tackles for loss as a sophomore in 2013. He recorded three fumble recoveries, one pass defense, one interception, 2.5 sacks, 75 total tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss in 2014. De Vodre recorded two forced tackles, three passes defensed, one interception, 92 total tackles, four sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss in his final collegiate season in 2015.
In the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected Campbell. De'Vondre was the second linebacker selected in 2016 by the Falcons, behind LSU's Deion Jones. Additionally, in 2016 De'Vondre was the 16th overall linebacker taken in the draft. De'Vondre signed a four-year contract on May 5, 2016, worth $2.90 million that includes a signing bonus of $565,528.
De'Vondre was signed by the Packers on June 9, 2021. Campbell was named the starting inside linebacker along with Krys Barnes. In Week 2 in a 35–17 win over the Detroit Lions, he had an interception by Jared Goff of the Lions.
