Did you know that Dakota Johnson refused to use a lookalike for her sex scenes in Fifty Shades? When asked about using a body double, on-screen Anastasia Steele in an interview with Mirror said, “No, because it would have looked like a loophole if I had done it. If I was going to do this job, I was going to do it 100% and give it my all. I wanted to be real and honest about the role and the character. I have no problem with nudity. I think it’s beautiful and so I was okay with that.
But not that, as previously reported, Dakota Johnson also revealed the challenges she faced while filming the n-de scenes. “That’s not true! Every time is different, but there are a lot of sex scenes in this movie, so you kind of get down to business. On some occasions, I had faked sx for seven hours straight , so I’m done with it. It’s not… comfortable. It’s tedious,” the actress shared.
Either way, the Fifty Shades trilogy was a massive hit. The second installment grossed over $380 million worldwide. Fifty Shades Freed, the final part, grossed over $370 million worldwide.
The film shot is based on the EL James-created novel of the same name. It revolves around a college student played by Dakota Johnson who enters into a sadomasochistic relationship with a young businessman (Christian Gray played by Jamie Dornan).
