Liane Morejon Biography
Liane Morejon is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist currently working at WPLG Local 10 News, in Miami, Florida, as a news reporter. She joined the station in January 2010. While still in college, Morejon interned at Local 10 News.
Liane can currently be seen reporting weekdays at noon, 4pm, 5pm. and 6 p.m., as well as Sundays at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Morejon has covered some of the best stories in South Florida on a wide range of topics whether traveling across the country to cover stories that make national headlines, meeting an immigrant group, covering crime and public corruption.
Morejon interned at Local 10 and was later promoted to producer. He also started as an associate producer for Local 10 News Mornings and was later promoted to lead producer of the 5 a.m. hour. Additionally, in 2013, she began working on air, starting as a traffic anchor before becoming a full-time anchor.
While still in college, Liane worked at Coral Gables Television as a reporter, host, editor and producer. She has won several Davey and Telly Awards for her work in public affairs programming.
