Ben Hill is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist best known as the morning news anchor for WTHR NewsChannel 5 based in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to his work at NewsChannel 5, he worked as a morning news anchor for an NBC affiliate called WTHR News in Indiana from 2016 to 2020. In 2013, Ben spent several years as a news anchor and reporter for FOX News Carolina until the official departure from the station.
Hill was born and raised in a working-class American family living in Kentucky, USA. He grew up as an intelligent child who showed interest in broadcasting from an early age. Ben completed middle and high school in his native Kentucky. He got a good GPA and landed a spot at Western Kentucky University. Eventually, he graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science.
Hill made his first broadcast debut appearing as a news anchor for WVLA News in Louisiana. He then left the station to work for NBC KETK News in Texas after spending a year at WVLA. At KETK News, Ben made a name for himself reporting various news and weather reports. He even provided live reports from various parts of Texas and the United States.
