Achyuta was born on Wednesday, January 20, 1965 (54 years old; as in 2019), in Kalarabanka, Cuttack, Odisha. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He earned a Master's degree in Chemistry from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and then a PhD in Social Sciences.
Family, caste and wife
Achyuta was born into a poor family of Kalarabanka. His father, Anadi Charan Samanta, died in a train accident when Achyuta was four years old. His mother was Nilima Rani Samanta. He had five brothers and sisters and his youngest sister is Iti Samanta, the famous Indian writer.
After his father's death, he faced serious financial problems. He started doing small jobs in the village to support his family. With the usual difficulties, he finished his master's degree. After that, he started working as a teacher in a private college and gave private lessons. In 1992-93, he established his two institutions, Kalinga Industrial Technology Institute (KIIT) and Kalinga Social Science Institute (KISS), in a rented apartment with only Rs 1,000,000. 5000. He borrowed from his family and friends to run the institute, and in 1994-95 his loan was raised to Rs 4,000. 2.5 million. Later, he founded many other Kalinga Institutes, including Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), KIIT School of Management (KSOM), KIIT School of Rural Management (KSIT), KIIT School of Computer Application (KSCA).
He became a member of various national and international educational organizations, including the University Grants Commission (UGC), member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Institute of Education. International Institute (IIE) of New York, from the Association of the University of Asia Pacific. (AUAP) and University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP), Bangkok.

- His name is inscribed in the "Limca Archives Book" as the youngest Chancellor of the Indian University.
- When an interviewer asked him about the most satisfying aspect of his job, he replied:
The most satisfying aspect of my journey is that I have been able to use education as a tool for personal, social and cultural development; economic emancipation; and the creation of a large population of change agents for disadvantaged and marginalized communities. The model has been appreciated by world leaders, policy planners, Nobel laureates and legal luminaries. KISS has become a revelation. The fact that KISS has received the special consultative status of the United Nations is particularly gratifying.
