Biography of Ted Greenberg
Ted Greenberg is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist currently working as a reporter for NBC10’s Jersey Shore Bureau, covering Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean and Cumberland counties. Greenberg reports weekdays on NBC10 News at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
For more than two decades, Ted has covered the coastal region. However, Hurricane Sandy remains one of the most memorable events in Ted’s career. Ted first joined WCAU-TV as an intern in the summer of 1991 and later rejoined the NBC10 family as a full-time reporter in 2003. In 2018, Greenberg was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia’s Hall of Fame.
Previously, Ted worked in Atlantic City while simultaneously pursuing a degree in criminal justice at New Jersey’s Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University). He began his career at WMGM while still in high school.
After spending six years at WMGM, Ted went on to report and anchor for WROC in Rochester, New York and WTIC in Hartford/New Haven, Connecticut. During his tenure at WTIC, Greenberg was recognized for his outstanding career with two Boston/New England Emmy Awards for Newswriting and an Associated Press Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism. Ted later returned to WMGM for a short time in 2002 as News Director and anchor of the station’s 6 p.m.
When not working, Ted enjoys spending time with his family, especially at the beach and boardwalk. She is a colon cancer survivor and an advocate for early screening.
