Asher wanted to be a television journalist from the age of eight. On weeknights, he now hosts The Edge at 11 p.m. with Huel Perkins and Fox 2 News at 6:30 p.m. with Roop Taj. They are good friends and colleagues.
Her career took me to Flint and ABC12, where she met her now-husband, Jason Carr, after working as an anchor/reporter at Lansing’s CBS station. Asher joined Fox 2 News in 2007 after serving as anchor of the 5 p.m. in Flint.
Throughout her career, she has covered everything from Presidents and politics to more deadly crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. He even helped amend the state law to ban the sale of synthetic drugs.
He has received four Emmy Awards, as well as other awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press. She runs and does yoga. She also enjoys snow skiing and traveling.
