Shawn Kemp Biography

Shawn Kemp is an American basketball player who played for the Seattle SuperSonics, who drafted him in the first round of the 1989 NBA draft.
In addition, Kemp played in the National Basketball Association where he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic. Kemp was a six-time NBA All-star and a three-time All-NBA second team member.
Additionally, Shawn attended Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana. He finished high school as Elkhart County's all-time leading scorer and Concord's all-time leading scorer. He held the single-game and single-season scoring records.
After his second NBA season, Kemp was nicknamed Reign Man after Kevin Calabro saw a poster with the name and thought it was appropriate to add to his radio show.
Additionally, he owned a sports bar in Seattle's Lower Queen Anne called Oscar's Kitchen. He currently owns part of Amber's Kitchen in Seattle.
