Sam Rubin Biography

Sam Rubin is an American journalist who is currently the entertainment anchor for the KTLA Morning News and a correspondent for the Reelz production Hollywood Dailies. Rubin hosts Live From the Academy Awards and the celebrity show Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin. He has reported on the entertainment industry for over 20 years interviewing many Hollywood stars including Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry, Samuel L. Jackson and Larry King.

In addition, Sam has co-authored two biographies, one on former first lady Jacqueline Onassis and one on actress Mia Farrow. He is also a regular UK Hollywood Entertainment reporter on ITV’s This Morning.

In addition, Sam is the recipient of the Golden Mike Award for Best Entertainment Reporter and the Associated Press Television and Radio Award for the KTLA morning news team. He graduated from Occidental College with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Rhetoric in 1982.

When not reporting, Sam supports a variety of nonprofits, including commemorating a KTLA team for the annual MS 150 Bay to Bike Tour, a premier cycling event in Southern California that raises money to find a cure for multiple sclerosis .
