Rick Folbaum Biography
Rick Folbaum is an American journalist who is widely recognized for his appearances as a news anchor for CBS46 WANF News in Atlanta. Previously, he worked as a freelance reporter for CNN News and as a correspondent for FOX News Channel in New York before returning to Atlanta. Rick even worked as a news anchor and reporter for another CBS News affiliate in Atlanta called WGCL News. he also made several guest appearances on a late night FOX show called Ted eye wGreg Gutfield.
Folbaum was born and raised in a working-class family living in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He grew up as a very active child who loved to play football while showing interest in becoming a reporter at a very young age. Rick finished high school at Cherry Hill High School West in his hometown. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the SI New house School of Public Communication at Syracuse University.
After college, Folbaum began his journalism career formally by becoming a writer for MSNBC while appearing as a radio anchor for WOR-AM news in New York. Eventually, Rick left MSNBC and WOR-Am to work as an anchor for FOX News. Its main segments were FOX News Live and Saturday FOX Reports. He also worked as a substitute anchor for FOX’s Shepard Smiths programs whenever he was away from work.
Rick’s hard work then led him to become a co-anchor at one of FOX’s flagship New York studios named WNYW from 2006 to 2009. He then left FOX News in 2013 to join WFOR News in Miami as a news anchor. He left WFOR in 2018 and joined CNN News in 2019. Rick was the anchor of CBS 46 News 2019. He primarily anchors the station’s evening newscasts at 4, 6 and 11 p.m.
