A former Princess Diana butler, Paul Burrell, has advised Prince Harry not to attend the upcoming coronation of his father, King Charles.
According to Burrell, Harry will receive a “frosty” reception and feel isolated from the rest of the royal family. Burrell believes Harry and Meghan’s presence at the event will be a distraction for the media and take away from the historic nature of the ceremony.
He added that Harry’s appearance at the coronation would make him relevant again, but he would feel uncomfortable being around his estranged family members. Burrell’s comments have fueled speculation as to whether the couple will attend the ceremony.
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed they have received an invite, they have yet to confirm their attendance.
British media previously reported that Prince William was hesitant to invite Harry because he thought his younger brother would steal the show at the event, especially after Harry’s book came out.
