Prince Harry criticized for sharing details of royal residences
Prince Harry has been accused of putting the royal family at risk by sharing details of royal residences in his Spare book.
Harry has revealed the location of the late Queen Elizabeth’s bedroom at Balmoral and the precise route from the entrance to Clarence House to the King’s private sitting room, with the exact number of stairs.
The Duke of Sussex has come under fire for what critics have called a gross breach of the monarch’s security and privacy.
Dai Davies, the former head of protection for the royal family, said ‘only a fool would reveal these kinds of details about the inner sanctuaries of the royal family’.
“There’s a reason Buckingham Palace never discusses details of its security operations, big or small,” he told the Telegraph.
“One would never expect anyone with such intimate knowledge of private royal residences to divulge such information,” he said.
Harry shared several behind-the-scenes details about what it was like growing up in royal homes.
Davies called the revelations “problematic” and potentially compromising for the Royal Family’s security operations.
