Opal Tometi Biography

Opal Tometi (born August 15, 1984) is an American social activist, journalist, consultant, and community activist. She is a co-founder of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. She was the founding executive director of the Black Alliance for Just Immigration, the first national immigrant rights group in the United States for citizens of African descent (BAJI).
