Nicholas decided to participate in the show because he wanted to test himself mentally, emotionally and spiritually. He also wants to make a big difference in the world through all his initiatives and outreach, be it the children he works with, autism or his mentoring program for underprivileged youth. A life experience that has prepared him for the game? He has spent his entire life as a martial artist. He started Yang-style tai chi when he was six years old. It teaches him a lot about mental toughness. He thinks he will be the only survivor because he will be unmistakably himself. He will not waver in his pursuit. He is ready to endure and do whatever it takes.
This fall, seventeen new participants and one returning player will compete for the million dollar prize and the title of Sole Survivor. A marine truck driver, an intensive care nurse, a school principal, a therapist, an investment analyst and three lawyers round out the cast. It also includes the return of Bruce Perreault, who was medically cleared from last season after hitting his head on a goalpost during the first assignment.
