Leah Larocque is a multi-skilled Canadian journalist currently working at CTV News Ottawa contributing content across television, radio and platforms. She joined CTV News Ottawa in April 2015. Having grown up in Ottawa, she is happy to be back home working at the station she grew up watching.
She began her career in Edmonton as a radio and television reporter. Some of her most memorable stories include St. Albert RCMP shooting and prisoner on CTV Canada AM. He also produced a radio documentary exploring the challenges players face after leaving the National Hockey League.
As a competitive athlete, she has competed at a pan-Hellenic level in athletics and cross-country. Leah is fluent in French, English and Spanish. In addition, she is a classically trained pianist and enjoys watching British period drama and going home for Sunday dinners with her family.
Talking about her education, she attended and graduated from Carleton Univerity with a Masters in Journalism. She also earned her undergraduate degree in Global Development Studies from Queen’s University in Kingston.
