Joel Haslam is a Canadian journalist currently working as a multi-talented reporter at CTV News Ottawa. He has been a television anchor for CTV News for more than 35 years. He is the longtime host and producer of Regional Contact on CTV News Ottawa. Regional Contact is a department that champions the stories of everyday people involved in extraordinary and inspiring adventures.
His storytelling has been honored many times by the Association of Broadcast News Directors in Canada. He is actually a recipient of the prestigious Dave Rogers Award, given to the journalist who produces and reports the best national television series. Recently, he received an international Edward R. Murrow Award.
