Lady Gaga exposes her underwear as she suffers wardrobe malfunction post Stephen Colbert taping

Lady Gaga has a Marilyn Monroe moment as her black dress blows in the wind after Stephen Colbert taping in New York

Lady Gaga mirrored Marilyn Monroe’s iconic moment when her dress blew in the wind as she left her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The 45-year-old singer accidentally exposed her bare underwear as she wore a black dress with a high leg slit that caught the wind as she left the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York.

Gaga’s platinum blonde locks — which were no different from Marilyn’s — and wardrobe mishap echoed the late movie star’s memorable moment.

The Bad Romance singer kicked off the House Of Gucci promotion in the UK last week and spent the weekend in Milan, Italy, before heading to New York to continue doing press.

Gaga’s on-air look was an elegant one-shoulder dress that exposed her midriff and plenty of leg by way of a high slit.

She was seen strutting out of the studio in metallic pumps before stopping to pose for photos – at which point she suffered a dress malfunction.

Trying to showcase a bit of dramatic sparkle in the garment, she was determined to keep the skirt of the dress pulled up to draw attention to her legs.

But in doing so, she encountered a gust of wind that blew up the flowing dress and exposed her bare underwear.

It was unclear if she was unaware of the flashing incident or simply brushed it off like a pro as she was pictured facing stone throughout.

Prior to the taping, she had left The Lotte New York Palace in a silver Lanvin trench coat.

Although Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated House Of Gucci movie won’t hit theaters until November 24, Gaga has had an aggressive promotional schedule.

On Monday, she came under a bit of criticism from the film’s dialogue coach, Francesca De Martini, who reversed her “Italian” accent in the film.

“I feel bad for saying that, but his accent isn’t exactly an Italian accent, it sounds more Russian,” she told The Daily Beast.

Gaga had spoken about her acting style approach to playing Patrizia Reggiani – the notorious woman who hired a hitman to murder her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in 1995.

‘I lived like her [Reggiani] for a year and a half. And I spoke with an accent for nine months. I never broke up. I stayed with her,’ she told British Vogue, adding that she was speaking in voiceover.
