During her hosting stint, she delivered a merciless sketch that humorously ridiculed Meghan Markle and the ongoing royal drama. In addition, she humorously affirmed her status as the most influential and powerful woman in the world.
McKinnon’s Markle didn’t spare Prince Harry, whom she called a “little redhead puppet.” She claimed to have seduced, brainwashed and controlled him, transforming him from a prince into a “loser” who obeyed her every command.
The skit didn’t shy away from lampooning other members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Andrew. They were portrayed in a derogatory manner, with Markle hurling insults at them, describing them as old, boring, irrelevant and corrupt. She alleged that they tried to harm her and Harry’s happiness, but failed.
The sketch ended with McKinnon’s Markle asserting her newfound freedom and happiness, describing a life filled with love, children and a California mansion. She claimed to have an army of fans, supporters and wealth, declaring herself the true queen.
