Biography of Jonathan Goodwin
Jonathan Goodwin is a Welshman who escaped and dared to suffer a spinal cord injury while rehearsing for an acrobatics in October 2021. Hailing from Pembrokeshire, Jonathan reached Britain’s Final 13 in Britain’s Got Talent Final.
During his audition for Britain Got Talent, Goodwin revealed that he has been doing acrobatics since he was 7 years old. In addition, he explains that the story and inspiration behind his trick was that Harry Houdini made his first act of escape from a straight jacket. He did a horrible trick where he put helpers to cover him with fuel and as soon as he was upside down, a flame went up on stage and immediately enveloped him.
Jonathan competed in the Semifinals of the series. The Final saw him do an acrobatics that his daughter had designed for him, a basic hourglass, escaping from a box of gravel. He later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2020, he auditioned for American Got Talent and reached the Semifinals before being eliminated. This was his first audition for American Got Talent.
In mid-October 2021, Jonathan was admitted to hospital after a trick with two vehicles hanging in the air. Then the two vehicles caressed him and made him fall 40 feet and lose the airbag that allegedly caught him.
He suffered multiple broken bones in both legs, facial injuries and burns, before later showing crusts on his face and arm in a bandage in a photo he posted on social media.
