Jay Pharoah is an American stand-up comedian, actor, impressionist, and rapper who gained fame for his famous appearances and impressions on NBC’s Saturday Night Live from 2010 to 2016. He also gained fame impersonating Jay Z on a television 2014 series called Portlandia. Jay even played Floyd Money in White Famous (2017) and voiced Kanye West and other characters in Family Guy in 2017. His other famous roles are in The Blackening (2022) and Out of Office (2022) as Neal. Pharoah even appeared as a guest judge on The Masked Singer in 2020.
Pharaoh was born and raised in the suburbs of Chesapeake, Virginia. He grew up to be a very intelligent and talented child who made several impressions at the age of six. He also participated in various talent shows with the help of his father while growing up. Jay attended Indian River High School where he graduated in 2005. He then attended Tidewater Community College where he earned his major in business administration. Pharaoh also received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

He even managed to pull off an impression of Barack Obama on the 38th season premiere of SNL in 2012.
Jay even did on-screen credits while on SNL. She starred in a 2014 film titled Lola Versus, Ride Along and Balls Out. Jay left SNL in 2016 to pursue a solo career in music, comedy and acting. It has been confirmed that he is currently working on his first album with a record producer named Myles William. Jay’s most recent TV and film credits include Out of Office (2022), American Ad! (2022), Bubble Guppies (2022) and Spinning Gold (2023).
