Jamie Hector is an American actor who is famous for playing drug kingpin Marlo Stainfield in the HBO series The Wire and Jerry Edgar in the series Bosch. Hector is one of many people who started their careers at a young age. He began acting right out of high school when he auditioned for a community theater company.
In college, he had roles on TV shows like New York Undercover, Third Watch, and Law & Order, among other great movies. After college, he enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute where he furthered his knowledge of acting. In 2002, he appeared in the film Paid in Full which is one of the defining moments in his career. His other defining moment is appearing in the short film Five Deep Breaths in 2003.
Hector went on to star in other major films such as Blackout (2007) with Melvin Van Peebles and Jeffrey Wright. He also appeared as recurring villain Benjamin “Knox” Washington in the third season of Heroes. In addition, he starred in the series Bosch (2014-2021). He then appeared as Devon Finch in six episodes of season 2 of Queen of The South in 2017.
