Harry to Face Coronation ‘Nightmare’ Without Meghan

On April 12, 2023, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Harry would attend the coronation of King Charles. However, his wife, Meghan Markle, will not be joining him and will be staying at their Montecito, California home with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to royal expert Tessa Dunlop, who was promoting her book Elizabeth & Philip: A Story of Young Love, Marriage and Monarchy, Harry could face a tough time at the historic royal event without Meghan by his side.

Dunlop suggested Harry appeared stressed at his last public meeting with the Royal Family and seemed uncomfortable in his own skin as he helped Meghan into the car after Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.

Dunlop went on to say the Royal Family were initially concerned for Meghan’s safety before news broke that she would not be attending the coronation. She explained that they were concerned about the potential public response and the cost of the security needed to protect Meghan.

All in all, it looks like Harry will be attending the coronation alone, and his wife’s absence could have a significant impact on him. The Duke will have to navigate the event without the support of his partner, which could prove difficult.
