Dave Roberts is an American meteorologist currently working as the lead weather anchor for WLBT News based in Jackson, Mississippi. It also appears on WLBT’s sister station known as WDBD FOX 40 News, also based in Mississippi. Roberts is an AMS Seal Certified Broadcast Metrologist who is happy to call Mississippi his new home. He joined WLBT News after working at different stations across the United States for nearly a decade. Roberts is mostly known for his Early Alert forecasts during the summers and winters, keeping people informed of the latest incoming storms and weather changes. He is one of WLBT’s longest-serving weather anchors having joined the station when he was a young man in his 20s, nearly 25 years ago.
Roberts was born and raised in a working-class family living in the suburbs of the United States. He grew up as a very chubby kid who was constantly bullied from middle school to high school.
