Turns out Dakota Johnson’s pubic hair from Fifty Shades Of Gray was added in post-production.
Cinematographer Seamus McGarvey revealed Johnson’s pubic hair was fake and she had a double ass for the spanking scenes.
Speaking during a roundtable with The New York Times (via The Mirror), McGarvey said Dakota has special underwear for when she has to flash flesh.
This meant that all body hair had to be added using computer trickery.
‘[She] had some sort of patch that covered her pubic area and all around her body,” McGarvey said.
“We were in the curious situation, in post-production, to add [pubic hair].
“I wouldn’t say it was one of the highlights of my career, but it was definitely one of the most surreal storylines.”
McGarvey added that Dakota co-star Jamie Dornan wore a “penis pouch” to protect his modesty.
The cover might have something to do with a special contract the actor had in place to keep his tracks hidden.
