Craig Laughlin Biography
Craig Laughlin is a Canadian-born former right-wing ice hockey professional. He currently works at NBC Sports Washington for the Washington Capitals as a color analyst. Prior to joining the Canadiens’s roster for part of the 1981–82 season, he played for the Nova Scotia Voyageurs of the American Hockey League, Montreal’s minor team, for a number of years.

Career Craig Laughlin
As of now, Craig is working at NBC Sports Washington for the Washington Capitals as a color analyst. His contribution was added to an important role in guiding the Capitals in their first appearance in the playoffs in the history of the team. During his time with the Capitals, he made appearances in the Washington, DC area to increase the team’s footprint in the area as the team’s ambassador.
He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Grant Lediard on 9 February 1988. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in his last NHL season since the 1988–89 season. He played one season for EV Landshut in the German Hockey League, before retiring from active action. He scored 136 goals and had 205 assists in 549 NHL games.
Since retiring, he has worked for Capitals’s games as a color analyst on television, started working here in 1990 and married Joe Beninati. Under the deal, he is currently active in a charity in the Washington, DC area and has been involved in many Capital alumni activities.
