Cameron Williams is an Australian television journalist and presenter for Nine Network. Williams also presents updates and roams at the Australian Open to cover the network. Previously, he worked as a sports presenter at Nine News Sidney from Sunday to Thursday, co-hosted Weekend Today and was a sports presenter at Today.
Cameron began his career in 1984 with The Courier-Mail in Brisbane. He then moved to The Australian’s Melbourne offices, where he wrote features and columns before joining the Seven Network in 1988. In addition to his role as a sports presenter on Seven News, Cameron occasionally hosted Sportsworld.
Williams worked as a presenter for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, where he won the double gold in Matt Ryan’s riding for Australia. In late 1996, he signed on as the face of Fox Sports, anchoring the NRL On Fox, Dally M Awards, Super 12 Rugby, Wimbledon, Winter Olympics, the Australian Grand Prix and Fox Sports News.
