Ayman Mohyeldin is a well-known American journalist who works for NBC News and MSNBC in New York. She currently presents the She Reports (originally called MSNBC Live with Ayman Mohyeldin) on MSNBC weekday afternoons. He previously worked for Al Jazeera and CNN. He was one of the first Western journalists allowed into Iraq to cover the deposition and trial of Saddam Hussein by the Iraqi interim government for crimes against humanity. He has also covered the 2008-09 Gaza War and the Arab Spring.

Ayman began his career in journalism as a desk assistant for the NBC Washington, DC bureau. His first major mission came shortly after 9/11. In an interview with PRWeek, he talks about the opportunity that arose after 9/11. Coverage of major news events in the Arab World and the Middle East includes the Iraq War, Egypt’s first multi-candidate presidential election in 2005, Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, and the 2005 Palestinian elections in Gaza.
Both the Sharm al-Sheikh resort bombing (July 2005) and the Jordan Hotel bombing were reported by Ayman (November 2005). He was the first journalist to enter one of Libya’s nuclear research facilities after producing the interview of Colonel Muammar al-first Gaddafi in which he announced that Libya would abandon all WMD programs.
He covered the Israeli offensive on Gaza from 2008 to 2009. The documentary “The War Around Us” includes coverage of Ayman’s reporting, as well as Sherine Tadros.
