Tony Kovaleski is an American journalist currently working as an investigative reporter at Denver ABC Scripps’ KMGH-Channel 7. Prior to that, he worked at NBC Bay Area and KNTV in the San Fransisco Bay Area. Talking about his education, he attended and graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
In the summer of 2008, while at KMGH-TV, he aired a series of stories chronicling problems with Denver’s emergency ambulance service. This included response times that were almost double the national standard. In addition, the stories indicated that there was no ambulance permanently stationed at Denver International Airport.
Tony’s most recent work involves reporting problems at sports venues throughout California. His investigations into Santa Clara Country’s VTA Light Rail system have revealed high rates of toll evasion. Additionally, his second report showed that after years, the light rail system was still unable to provide credit card readers for riders.
