Sharmin has appeared in several TV series in leading roles like Chhoto Bou, Joley Bheja Rong, Shunyota, Shefali, Hoolsthool, Jolkumari, Twin Village, Ghunpokam, Gyanigonjer Ponditera, Julie Beautiful and Prem Noi. She starred in a notable drama Agoon Jhora Dingulotey against Chanchal Chowdhury. Sharmin Zoha Shoshee is best known for the role of Tuni in her first film, Hazar Bochhor Dhorey in 2005.
