In a highly charged account detailed in his upcoming autobiography “Spare,” Prince Harry has made some explosive revelations about his brother, Prince William. Harry alleges William physically attacked him after Meghan Markle was called “difficult”.
According to Harry’s recollections, a heated argument escalated to the point where Prince Charles intervened, grabbing Harry by the collar and forcefully throwing him to the ground. The intense altercation resulted in a dog bowl shattering upon impact. Apparently William then retorted, “I didn’t attack you, Harold.”
The leaked extract from Harry’s memoir, obtained by the left-leaning Guardian newspaper, provides extraordinary insight into what Harry claims was a real physical assault by his own brother. Harry says he suffered visible injuries, including scratches and bruises, as a result of the incident. The heated argument allegedly took place in the kitchen of Nottingham Cottage, Harry’s London residence within the grounds of Kensington Palace, in 2019, shortly before the infamous ‘Megxit’ saga unfolded.
Apparently William had called Meghan ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’, expressing concern over Harry’s deteriorating relationship and ongoing disputes with the media. In response, Harry accuses his brother of merely echoing the negative media narratives surrounding his American wife. This accusation sparked a howling match that eventually turned into a physical confrontation, as depicted in the book. Harry claims he handed William a glass of water, remarking, “Willy, I can’t talk to you when you’re like this.
Describing the events that followed, Harry claims that William responded by putting the glass down, hurling another insult and launching himself at Harry. The altercation unfolded quickly, with William grabbing hold of Harry’s collar, inadvertently tearing his collar and throwing him forcefully to the ground. The impact caused Harry’s back to collide with the dog’s bowl, resulting in painful cuts from the broken pieces. After a moment of disorientation, Harry managed to regain his footing and demanded William’s departure.
According to Harry, William then encouraged him to fight back, invoking memories of their childhood scuffles. However, Harry claims he refused, and William then left the stage, later returning with an air of regret and apologizing. As he left, William added cryptically, “You don’t need to tell Meg about it.”
Harry asked, “So you mean you attacked me?” to which William reportedly replied, “I didn’t attack you, Harold.” Harry says his therapist was the first person he confided in about the incident, sharing the details over the phone. However, he claims Meghan noticed the cuts, scrapes and bruises on her back caused by the dog bowl.
