According to a recent podcast appearance with royal experts Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel, Tom Parker Bowles, Prince Harry’s half-brother through his mother Queen Camilla’s marriage to King Charles, shared his thoughts on the upcoming coronation of his mother and stepfather.
When asked if there had been a “panic” over Prince Harry’s late response to the invitation, Parker Bowles replied that it had nothing to do with him.
He then jokingly said he would rather Harry Kane, the captain of the England football team, attend the coronation instead.
Parker Bowles joked that he asked his mum if Kane was coming as England captain but she didn’t know.
He also mentioned that he and his son feared having the England captain at the coronation.
However, it should be noted that Prince Harry’s attendance at the event was confirmed last week, well past the response deadline, and his wife Meghan Markle will not be attending.
