Biography of Olivia Dekker
Olivia Dekker is an American journalist and sportscaster from Kansas City. She is widely recognized for serving as a sideline reporter for ESPN College Football and the NFL on Westwood One Sports. She is also known for appearing as a correspondent for the Big Ten Basketball Network. Prior to her work at ESPN, Olivia spent a few years as a sports reporter for FOX Sports South and Raycom.
Dekker was born and raised in suburban Mission Hills, Kansas as the daughter of a play-by-play announcer named Kevin Harlan. She completed middle school and high school in her native Kansas. From there, Dekker joined the University of Georgia where she graduated with a degree in journalism. She also won the Miss Kansas Teen USA award in 2010 during her senior year in high school.
Olivia then began her career as a sports writer covering SEC and ACC football updates for FOX Sports South and Raycom. He also co-hosted a popular Green Bay Packers web series known as the Packers TV Network. Olivia then spent about two to four years as a reporter for Packers TV before becoming a co-host.
Dekker left Packers TV and joined FOX Sports South as a sideline reporter and co-anchor. She even had the opportunity to work alongside her father Kevin Harlan while at FOX Sports. The move made Olivia and her father the first father-daughter duo to appear to co-host and call an NFL game. Olivia left FOX in 2015 to join ESPN. Covered World Team Tennis and other matches for CBS Sports in 2019 while still at ESPN. In 2020, Olivia was able to have the opportunity to cover various football games for The Big Ten Network before leaving to join BetMGM. She has been working as a presenter and sports reporter for BetMGM since 2021,
