Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received no response from the royal family following their harrowing encounter with the paparazzi.
Despite the heartbreaking incident on Tuesday evening, neither King Charles III nor Queen Camilla have contacted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Additionally, sources say Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have refrained from commenting on the matter.
Paparazzi chased Harry, Meghan and Doria Ragland as they returned home from the New York gala. The Sussexes have been deeply distraught and shaken by the relentless pursuit and are still reeling from the events that have unfolded.
A spokesperson for the couple shared the following information: “Last night the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Mrs Ragland, found themselves in a near-catastrophic car chase sparked by an aggressive ring of paparazzi.
This relentless chase lasted more than two hours and resulted in several close calls involving other drivers, pedestrians and even two NYPD officers. While being in the public eye attracts a certain level of attention, it should never come at the expense of anyone’s safety.”
Everyone involved in the incident remains deeply disturbed by the experience. The spokesperson added: “To say the event was horrific would be an understatement.”
