Neighbor Affirms Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Absence at Olive Garden Following Visit to Their Mansion

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing criticism from their neighbors in the gated community of Montecito, Los Angeles.

Frank McGinnity, an accountant and author who lives nearby, recently shared his experience of trying to be a neighbor by gifting the Sussexes with films he made about the area’s history. However, he claimed their security guard turned him away, saying they weren’t interested.

Mr McGinnity expressed surprise at the couple’s choice to move to Montecito, a quiet enclave known for its elderly population, saying the neighborhood is where “the elephants come to die”. He asked why their security couldn’t just accept the gift and send a polite thank you.

Rumors have swirled that the couple have already sold their mansion in Montecito, leading to speculation about their current residence. Actor Rob Lowe has also previously described Montecito as a sleepy little town that changed after the Sussexes arrived, suggesting some residents moved away in search of more privacy and quietude.

Additionally, Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly had a few encounters with their neighbors, during which they appeared dismissive and indifferent. Some neighbors believe the couple’s attempts to present themselves as caring people have not resonated well with the community, especially as they continue to pursue financial opportunities after stepping down from royal duties.

The couple’s aloof behavior has left some neighbors disappointed, with one neighbor recounting instances of Prince Harry embarrassing others without apologizing. Overall, the Sussexes’ interactions with their community of Montecito have left a sour impression, prompting discussions about their approach to neighborhood belonging.
